World Wide Stout is one of the worlds strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Rating #1000. Bottle sent to me by odeed a while back. Bottled on 10/29/05. Pours somewhat thick and very black with a quickly dissipating, effervescent tan head. Sweet roasted malt nose with a lot of plum notes and some coffee. Thick mouth feel. Roasty to the point of almost tasting smokey. Thick and sweet with molasses flavors and lots of alcohol. Dark fruits are everywhere; plums and raisins mostly and some licorice as it warms. The alcohol and sugars linger a bit at the end.

Aroma of pitted fruit, roasted malt, burnt sugar, hint of caramel. Moderately sweet, but countered, by warm alcohol booziness. Moderately bitter, but countered by the maltiness. Rich flavor. Medium to full body. Not quite as chewy as Id expect. Deceptive with how strong ABV it is. Warm, smooth finish. This is a great quality brew.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2017 On tap at Bru City. Pours a dark black with a thin khaki head. The aroma is vanilla, dark cherries, very dark roasted malts, bourbon barrel aged wood, and alcohol. The flavor is a great mixture of a bourbon barrel aged wood and vanilla. The alcohol is noticeable but masked quite well for the abv. This is definetly a sipper but quite enjoyable. The mouthfeel is medium to heavy.

Pours a deep dark brown color with a black licorice and woodsy aroma. Taste is initial coffee, chocolate, molasses, then a distinct alcohol burn. The ABV is very evident but good and well balanced. A nice complex nutty, chocolate Imperial Stout.

From backlog. Draught at The Ginger Man NY. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with roasted malts, nuts, wood, alcohol, licorice, a bit of chocolate and dark fruits. Bitter finish with roasted malts, alcohol, wood, nuts, licorice and dark fruits. Very nice imperial stout, although the extremely high ABV doesnt add anything to it.

Wow...lots of maltiness and barley smoothness. Lots of boozing as, too. Warming, not burning, but definitely lots. Glad I tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black color. Big , beige head. Complex aroma of roasted malt, toffees, raisins, chocolate and coffee. Same notes in rich taste with moderate sweetness. warming alcohol at the end. For 18% ABV it is superdrinkable! The best high ABV beer Ive ever had.

Black with a big, creamy, mocha head. Aroma very sweet, chocolate, coffee, roast, dark fruit, dark caramel, molasses, toffee, licorice. Taste is heavy, warming, sweet and very alcoholic. Chocolate, burnt sugar, dark caramel, dark fruit. Very heavy beer, takes winter warmer to a whole new level. Great though.

Pours a pitch black with a tan head. Light carbonation and some lacing. Aroma is very sweet malts and dark fruit with heavy alcohol notes. Medium body not as thick as I expected. Very sweet full mouth feel with a big alcohol warmth up front. A bit boozy with a taste and smell of epoxy glue. Fairly smooth but warm finish. Lingering sweet malt flavor. Not really my style. Good but not what I had hoped for.
