World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Bottle 12fl.oz.
Clear dark black color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, moderate to heavy dark beer, raisin, prune, plum, moderate bourboun - alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20090517]

12 fl oz bottle, trade with ygtbsm94. Pours black with a dense chocolate brown head. Alcohol and light roasted malt aroma. Sweet malty, solid roasted. Smoked into and before the finish. Wineous fruity note too. Clearly a complex brew. Quite sweet finish, with a mild smoke note.

A pitch black beer with a small dark brown disappearing head. The aroma is of rope, tar, alcohol, and raisins. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of coffee and chocolate and hints of alcohol. It is very sweet - probably the 18% ABV, that does it. A wonderful beer.

Bottled. Dark brown coloured with a beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, chocolate and alcohol. The flavour is dominated by dried fruits with notes of liquorice and dark chocolate. Alcoholic finish.

Bottle. 2001. Thanks alot Alex (fiulijn) for sharing this bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a small fast disappearing tan head. Fruity vinous aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee. Thick sweet roasted malty coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and molasses. Roasted sweet warming finish with lots of chocolate. Very sweet aftertaste. A nice imperial stout.

Nose of malt and wet wood. Sweet creamy malt start with bags of malt depth. Port and brandy tones. Lightly bitter warming brandy finish.

Very black, light tan head. Aroma of bitter dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee, but not overwhelming. Balanced flavor with malt, chocolate, coffee and decent bitter finish. Alcohol not apparent until you stand up.

Bottled, vintage 2003, 18,8% Opaque black, with no head whatsoever. Soft and pretty sweet smell (chocolate/toffee mix). Very "dense" taste of licorace and also a bit of chocolate. Even though the big alcohol%, I didn’t find any alcohol taste in this one, so the taste of alcohol is well-hidden.

Black. I mean black hole black. Vodka nose, but after that you forget that it is ridiculously strong. Tons of malt. Roasty and pappery flavour. Increadibly balanced. Hats off!
