[2/4/17] Draught/Bottle at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston. Black, big tan head. Bourbon, vanilla, roast, boozy, chocolate, sweet, bitter alcohol finish. thepatrickman (1502) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2017
Draft at EBF 2017. Considering that this is a bourbon barrel aged version of an 18% stout, this beer is cleaner and more balanced than it has any right to be. IT smells great, like a nice, normal stout, and it isn’t until you take the first sip that the immenseness of the flavor hits you. There’s chocolate and raisins and molasses from the base beer, but with a balancing complexity from the bourbon barrels that keeps the flavors going long after you’ve taken a sip. Impressive stuff. johnnnniee (4408) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 5, 2017
Sample at EBF Saturday.
Dark inky black with a stingy tan head. Lots of alcohol and bourbon on the nose with bits of roast chocolate port and pitted fruits. Hell of a sipper! kirk36 (223) - Peabody, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 27, 2015
Oh this beer is what it supposed to be.my God I will always give them five stars. Goes right to your head. Warm fuzzy alcohol. Chocolatey coffee. Bottled on one 24 14. This beer is a year old but yet it could go another year. I would love to taste this three years from now. This beer is beautiful.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI on 10/03/2014. Brownish-black color with a thin beige head that disappears quickly. Sparse spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, dark chocolate and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, chocolate malt, bourbon and coffee. The finish is rich a malty with an oaky bourbon aftertaste. Really good beer all around.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2014 As Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout. SHAME on Ratebeer for refusing to update or present this beer correctly! Its also clearly not retired, given its popped up all over the country so far this year... Sample. Poured dark brown, black. No head really. Sweet. Dark fruity. Bourbon. Very Slick. Woddy. Bourbon. Vanilla. Chocolate. Really really good. Didn’t really get heat or booze from this, although it was still a bit cool. So smooth and balanced. Tremendous. With I had more.
