Dogwood Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale, well attenuated with fruity, estery overtones. A blending of three hop varieties in three separate additions provides a clean bitterness. Whole leaf Cascade hops are added directly into the fermentation tank called "dry-hopping" in order to achieve a floral aroma. It is naturally carbonated for a smooth finish.

12 oz bottle via trade with TBC2. Lightly cloudy gold with a white head. Thick white lace. Nose is a bit grainy and funky. Flavor is grainy, but in a good way. Decent malty backbone. Even past its prime, agood beer.

12 oz bottle via trade with TBC2 - This beer is way past its prime. Thought I would give it a try anyways. It pours a cloudy amber color with a large white head. Leaves long thick lacing. Has a soapy aroma. Age? Flavor has lots of sweet fruity esters. Medium body. For a Pale Ale that is probably 2 years old, not bad. Thanks Matt.

i debated for some time about rating this beer or not; i got it in a recent trade with TheBeerCellar2 and knew that dogwood was out of business, but seeing that its been a year since the last rating i didnt know if it was fair (or even relevant!) to rate this one. but after drinking it i decided that because its still good, its "rate-able." hazy apple cider color, with decent beige lace. citrus and ginger aroma, with a slight tangy hint of oxidation which i dont count against the beer. an interesting mixture of dryly-fermented brown sugar and hops, and lots of caramel and pale malt as well. feels very natural throughout, which i would explain as full-bodied and inspired. thanks matt. <!-- br --><!-- br -->this brewery is out of business? how did that happen?

Bottle. Sweet ginger-peach aroma. Dark amber color with small head. Sweet ginger-peach flavor with mild hops finish. Nice, smooth and enjoyable - on the fruity side.

Well, this tastes like old flat soda but it was pretty old when we bought it. The flavor wasnt that bad for being so old though. looked like iced tea or something, but still had a little bit of head. lots of hops in the aroma and we got about half of em in the taste. smelled kinda skunked but didnt taste skunked, so thjat was good. wish we coulda had this when good ole dogwood was still around...

A little less than brown color with little head. It really kinda looked like ginger ale, head, carbonation and all. Kinda had a cool aroma, like hoppy grape juice. I thought it was just old, i mean it is old as they dont exist anymore. Kinda tastes alot like flat cream soda, the hops in the aroma didnt translate to the taste. Come back dogwood, come back.
