Back from the dead y’all. Just drank this at the Brick Store Pub. It was specially brewed for their 16th Anniversary Party. Made me a touch wistful for the the excellent brews Dogwood used to make. Pours a hazy orangish gold with ample white head. Smell is a touch grainy. Flavor is excellent for style with light bitter mixed with sweet. Well carbonated. I only wish I could remember when I first had this beer so I might have a basis for comparison. Draft - Brick Store Pub - Decatur, GA Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Hazy orange and a white head on the pour. Honey, orange and molasses aroma. taste is toned down from the aroma and consists of smooth caramel, citrus, ripe fruit and hay. ScottyP (425) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - MAY 3, 2009
Butters Big Blowout - Pours a dark hazy orange. with a white head. Caramel malt and hops in the aroma.
Malty taste with slightly bitter finish. Enjoyable Pale Ale. Butters (4062) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 3, 2009
Bottle shared at Butter’s Big Cellar Blowout. Courtesy of Springslicker. 2004 bottle. Hazy amber pour with ring of clearish head. Very sweet hop with some diacetyl. Pleasant malt backbone. Holds up even over time, pretty good. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 3, 2009
Bottle at Butters Big Cellar Blowout. 2004 bottle. Pours an off-white head with a golden amber body. Smells of tea and honey. Taste is honey and hops that are old and mellow. Little spice heat on the finish. Makes me think of tea.

12oz bottle-pours a white head and hazy gold copper color. Aroma is pine/citrus hops, medium malt-caramel, slight diacytl. Taste is pine/citrus hops, medium malt-caramel . soft carbonation. 3.2 Nice for a 2+ yr old PA-very nice. Thanks to springslicker for sharing. Adjusted to 3.5 Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 5, 2007
Thanks to SpringsLicker for the retired bottle! Poured hazy, deeper peach with a short, but well-retained cap of off-white head.. left some sticky lacing as it descended. The aroma picked up drier toffee and floral sweetness, definitely losing most of its hoppage over the years.. still enjoyable, having aged somewhat like Fuller Vintage Ales (malt-forward). The flavor had sweet, aged caramel and toffee, still with a bit of leafy and pine bitterness.. sweet malty finish. Roughly medium-bodied and a bit tacky at the back-end.. held up decently. fro2218 (471) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - SEP 26, 2007
Cloudy orange with a white head. Pretty nice aroma and low malty flavor. Not too shabby. goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - SEP 4, 2007
Poured a lightly hazed amber with a medium sized white head. The aroma was of fruity malt with a hint of citrus. Malty flavor that was mildly sweet. Hint of bitterness on the finish. While this beer is aged it has been in the fridge since its purchase. No real aged malt character and light on the hops.
