750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6%. Handwritten BB date 1.9.12 - jeez, I don’t think I even bought it that early. Gusher bottle. Hazy amber colour, large to moderate white head. The aroma is sweetish and unfresh, like stale jam. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is not completely "off", malty and some fruity notes, but first and foremost very boring, without any noticeable hops. Probably somewhat "better" when fresh, but I can’t imagine that this has ever been a great beer. Waste of money. Palme (4824) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 15, 2013
0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a deep cloudy plum-red one with a nice medium sized off-white top. On the nose I get strong citrus, wheat, wet leafs, potatoes and lots of ripe old - almost rotten sweet fruits. It’s right below average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is slick and oily. The taste has more wheat and ripe fruits. It’s not to hard to understand that this is an Italian. I get some spices in this. Hard to tell what spices it actually is, but it’s present. Slightly rubbery, really on the sweet side and red fruits finish it off. I don’t think that it’s directly unpleasant, but as most Italians it feels a bit strange and reluctant. 06.02.2013 ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a hazy light brown body with a medium, short-lived head retention. Nose is mild caramel and nut tones, honey melon and hints of grains. A bit strange. Taste is caramel, syrup, weird bread-grainy metallic notes with hints of sawdust and cellar must. Medium body and carbonation. Not very good. Bottle shared with (and great courtasy of) the Bergen Tasting Crew. Pours a brownish amber colour with a off-white medium head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, light sour fruit, wheat, leather and a nice spicy touch. The taste is a bit similiar with more oak, leather, mature gooseberries, fruits and some strange roast in the end. The mouthfeel is slick and sliky, and has a light bitterness. An okay ale but a bit weird flavour. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - FEB 6, 2013
golden and slightly hazy. pungent wheat aroma which would also explain the hazyness. also some belgian yeast here i’d suspect. taste is rather sweet, bready and mellow. little to bitterness . rather uninteresting, but drinkable.
