Amber color. Wonderful aroma of caramelized pineapple pie. Sweet, thick and luscious; the acidity is a bit too moderate, it has interesting notes of caramelized sugars, fruit cake; very nice, not as complex as the best ones but still excellent.

2013 vintage. 200mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with no head. Aroma brings out toffee, caramel, and baked pears. Flavour is quite soft, with notes of stewed pears, caramel, and toffee. Sample. Clear bright deep gold pour. Aroma is really perfumy, tons of floral honey notes, clover honey, pineapple, rotten apples, pear, very floral. Taste is sweet, tons of pineapple juice, honey, just super pineapple forward. Palate is med-full bodied, sweet with light booziness in the end. Very strange one, good but not something I’d actively seek out again.

pours clear bright gold and showing its sexy legs. bright juicy and tender ripened pears, pineapple, just-rightfully ripened banana slice, honey sweetness and woodsy character - mead-like qualities; spices, little to no acidity. flat carbonation, medium-full body - oily; sweet if not a bit cloying and spicy finish. excellent ice perry - best i’ve had to date. Small bottle shared by drewbeerme. Thanks, dude. Pours a richly amber hazy pour, a bit darker, with a touch of haziness, mellow dying haze. Aromas are rich, offering rich sweetness, honey and apple, richer honey, some apple, some bready malts. Richer sweetness, kiss of cinnamon. Initial is thicker, firm body, big sweetness. Big pear, apple, sugary malts. Fruit, some vanilla, big sweet fruit sugars, honey. Bigger sweetness, backend remains a touch peary, apple, honey. Some tannic element, but too sweet leading in. Meh. UPDATED: JUN 22, 2013 Bottle shared by Drew. Thanks! Pours a deep golden, near orange. Still. Nose is fruity. Pears, light acidity, honey. Moderate floral quality as well. On tasting, more muted, less acidic than it’s compatriots. A bit more one dimensional. Shows a distinct pear profile but lacks the richness and complexity of the others. Still really nice overall.
Re-tasted at the source. More smoky with a phenolic note, similar to English country cider or basque sidra. Interesting but the long tree life brings. In some wild funk that muddies it up. (Winter harvest, frozen on the tree)
