The last beer I’d had on the trip to Germany, bought on the München bus station, drunk on the bus. Yellow/golden appearance, white head. Slightly dusty lemony rock candy nose. Rock candy fighting gummibears and light citric acidity, chalky in the finish. Way better than expected, though it’s a typical crappy German radler in a way.

Can from a random German gas station. Pours clear and sparkling gold with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is soft lemonade, cereal malt and light cabbage. Flavor is lightly tart lemonade, medium cereal malt, cooked cabbage and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

50% Export Bier & 50% Zitronenimonade.

Clear, almost colourless. Frothy white head. Strange soapy aroma. Very sweet taste. That’s about it...

Can. Pours clear very pale straw with airy but stable white head. Faint aroma of citrus. Sweet flavour of artificial sweetener and lime detergent. Fantastic aspartam afteaste. Refreshing but watery not like anything called beer.

Can, 2.5%. Surprisingly weak aroma. Clear very pale yellow colour. Big stable plasticky white head. The flavour is sweet with a decent lime note. Not as disgusting as many other Radlers.

Can on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Christmas jolly day 1. Pours super pale with a fluffy white head. Extremely sweet, saccharin, with sticky lime and grape. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary sweet finish with more grape, citrus and white sugar. No good.

Can (from Rewe Freising), on the train from Freising to Regensburg, Bamberg post Xmas jolly day 1 - 24/01/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white covering that retains. Nose is lemon, sugars, straw, light puke. Taste comprises a solid but not sincere Radler profile, lemon sherbet, grassy, bread dough. Light in body, fine carbonation, crisp finale. Ok radler.
