COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don’t be fooled by Candi’s golden appearance. This Belgian Tripel may taste of sugar and spice, but her beguiling introduction is far from nice, flirting with a covert 9.5% ABV. Saaz and Halltertau hops provide a clean, floral aroma with minimal hop bitterness and the soft sweetness of apricot and pear lingers nicely against a dry finish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2017
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright golden color with a large foamy orange white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and musty with honey, sugar and a faint vague herbal note. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bitter with elements of chalk, mustiness, bubblegum and a bit of medicine. Long musty finish. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing.

bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Cincinnati OH --- 12/19/2016 --- Aroma of malt and spice. Hazy medium amber, off-white head that stays at a steady 1", bands of lace. Taste is malt that flows through medium fizz to light spice (no coriander) and a pronounced taste of pear. Maybe a little clove or mace at the finish. Okay, but not a draw to have another. Fair.

Herbal hops, alcohol, Belgian yeast, candy sugar, bready malt and peaches fill the mouth. Finish is long and spicy. Excellent brew.

Aroma is strong candi, oh I get it, Belgian answer herbal dough. Low esters beer. Flavor is similarly gritty and grainy Belgian biscuit. Green dry malty finish. I now may buy more Dominion beer.
