Pours black with a short thick tan head. Very mild vanilla and chocolate aroma. Soft cocoa ( not milk chocolate) taste with a chalky middle. Soft foamy mouth feel. Not as heavy as some stouts.

Back of the bottle reads "bottled on 02/13/15."
This was poured into a mini - snifter.
The appearance was a black color with no head nor lacing.
The smell had some dark fruit blending with roasty coffee bean. Light cocoa balances nicely.
The taste was mainly roasty with the dark fruity tones making it semi-sweet together. Dry roasty coffee aftertaste leads to no finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonated decently as a Double Stout, dry roastiness really develops on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a decent Double Stout. But probably not necessarily a go-to. callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2015

Bottle from the Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted sweet malt, creamy caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a big roasty, liqourice, coffee, dark chocolate palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A tasty beer, but needs more body. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2015
Poured deep dark brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of sweet berries, fudge, booze and toasted malt. Medium body, quite vanilla smooth, flavour as the aroma, milk chocolate added to the mix. Nice, but not really an Impy. gdubu493 (60) - New Jersey, USA - APR 26, 2015
