Loose lips sink ships, and coquettish glory will never tell. A midnight stout brewed with coffee beans, Morning Glory wakes up at 9% ALC. By Vol., with the aroma of espresso.

12 oz bottle into a Duvel tulip. A: Pours a borderline black color, albeit one that lacks impressive thickness. The head is a four finger khaki shade featuring nice retention. The head leaves behind some nice lacing, also. S: Theres a good espresso presence here, but its not overpowering or even super-strong. Beneath the coffee notes lie notes of licorice, chocolate, roasted barley, cream, and even some leafy hops. Really damn pleasant, if not massively bold. T: Initially it opens up with some light roasted barley and chocolate. Coffee builds up on the finish and aftertaste, backed by some licorice, nuttiness, char, and even a touch of piny hops. I dont think the espresso used here is amazing, which is my biggest quibble. Decently deep and enjoyable, though. M: Indeed, this one lacks body. Its not the driest coffee stout either, choosing to err slightly towards a sweet finish. It goes down superbly, which is my #1 desire for a good coffee stout. O: I dont think it can compete with WnB or FBS. I do think, however, its a solid alternative, and a superbly priced one at that. And it delivers the drinkability and the coffee-ness I look for.

Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops 10/27/16 black cola with a thin tan head. Aromas of espresso grain milk chocolate. Taste is mildly thin and follows flavor.

Bottle from a mix 12 pack called the "Pinup Pack" labels marketed to men. Bottled on 10/26/16. Pitch black color, thin weak tan head. Aroma is moderate espresso bean, roasted grain, milk chocolate nuances.

The flavor has decent amount of roasted malt backbone. The espresso bean lingers slight after the sip with a good amount milk chocolate to balance. Body is medium plus with a creamy / smoothness. Alcohol is hidden pretty well, make just a hint noticed. Overall, a nicely constructed imperial stout. Old school with only the adjuncted espresso bean. I really enjoyed this.

Murky dark reddish brown beer with a small cap of dark beige head. Semi-sweet nose of cocoa, balsamic vinegar, and coffee. Flavor is similar to the aroma with milk chocolate, lightly sweetened coffee, and charred grain followed by a medium bitterness. Some residual sweetness cuts through the after-taste. Decent stout, but a little light bodied.

Bottle. Oil black color, tan head. Notes of espresso, dark chocolate, oak and malt. High carbonation and mild heat with bite. Lots of coffee beans. Pleasant surprise despite the ratings.

Beautiful nougat colored foam. Lovely aromas of chocolate and espresso coffee. Full taste of dark chocolate and soft coffee notes. In addition there is a little roasted malt and a little vanilla. Soft carbonation and long aftertaste. There is not much to write about this stout except that it is tasty and definitely lives up to its name as espresso stout. Unsurprisingly, not disappointing - just a lovely coffee porter who lives up to expectations.

I enjoyed Morning Glory. The beer popes flat but it could be this bar. The flavor was rich with deep coffee taste that lingered. I was warm outside but I still enjoyed it. I will try this beer again soon.

Pours black color with a light brown head. I was hoping for more coffee aroma but there isnt much of one. Slight roasted malt aroma with caramel malts. Flavor is also sweet with chocolate, molasses, and not much coffee.
