(02.03.06) On tap at Old Dominion brewpub, Ashburn, VA. Clear light orange hued ale having an average white head with good lacing. No discernable carbonation. Light sour hop aroma. Medium bodied that starts with light malt sweetness and light hop flavor. Finishes dry with light hop bitterness. Detected some stale, sour flavors. Oxidized beer? Not one of Old dominion’s better offerings. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 4, 2006
lemony hops up front, a little caramel malt. Quite bitter - some citrus, grass. Dusty toasty malt. Meh. Stine (1780) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 16, 2007
Clear, copper hued pour. Weird, slightly pungent aroma. Vinegar, sesame seeds, saltine crackers, cold honey. Hamster cage steam is dominant. Similarly vague dirty hop taste. Crystal, dry honey granola, and mild bitter grapefruit. A swift hint of leafy green tea soaks in briefly before the finish. Crisp and clean at that point. Palate of medium strength; prickly, slippery texture. Foulness is fleeting. Boring and decent. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2010
Caramel red, beige cover and sheety lacing. Aroma is very bready, sweet, hard candy, butterscotch. Taste is more metallic, some butterscotch, a nondescript bitter, pretty meh. shameusburp (171) - Virginia, USA - FEB 27, 2005
Nothing to write home about. Just above a waste of $3.50. Basic pale ale. Looked pretty good but not much there.

Bottle. Above-avg strength citrus and resin aroma. Expecting oiliness. Amber pour with a wee little beige head that quickly faded into nothingness. Medium-light watery body with a mf somewhere between prickly and smooth. Mild and inconspicuous. Light rubbery bitterness, a touch of woodiness, and little else. Slightly grainy. Just not enough flavor for a potentially explosive style. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 14, 2008
On tap in Reagan Airport. Amber coloured beer. Aroma is lightly malty. A bit of herbal/toasty sweetness. Fairly generic though with not a whole lot of character. Low bitterness, kind of herbal. Meh. FlacoAlto (4182) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JAN 14, 2004
Pours a nice deep clear copper color and is topped by a two inch thick light tan head that is made up of largish sized bubbles. The aroma is buttery and slightly spicy from the hops that are used. Up front it is fairly clean tasting, the finish is mostly dominated by a butteryness that is most likely form diacetyl. This beer is fairly mild in the hop department.ehhdayton (1188) - USA - MAR 29, 2006
This would be a pretty nice drinking pale ale if not for the diacetyl that comes to dominate this beer. The butter flavor is not out of control but it is just a bit too much for my liking. Though it is drinkable, and has a certain spiciness to it, which seems to be part of the hop character.
The aroma has some caramel malt and grapefruit. The color is a dark golden with nice tan head with lacing. However, there are large particular pieces floating in the beer. The flavor has some malt but primarily a hoppish bitterness. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2008
on tap at the Ice House, light fruit nose with a decent golden yellow color, some grapefruit citrus flavor with a thin watery finish
