COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich, red ale is made in the American Pale Ale style. It has a strong hop character, medium body, dry finish, and floral hop aroma. We use pale Two-Row Brewer’s malt, Caramel 80 and 40 Lovibond malt, and Munich malt. For bittering and aroma Willamette, Cascade, and Tettnang hops are used in the kettle and as dry hopping in the fermenter.

Clear amber color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is somewhat sweet fruity malts, grapefruity and floral hops. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Nicely balanced Pale Ale, a touch on the sweet side. But a nice APA. All the bad stuff I said about the Micro Beer of the Month Club last month I take back, as long as they keep shipping beers like this and the Oak Barrel Aged Stout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Hearty brew with matlry fruit-like aroma. Similar to brandy with a citrus-like edge to it. Hints of caramel flavor. Smooth texture, medium body. Excellent with wintertime thick stews.

Bottle. Caramel-like aroma, simple, but good. Wow, this pours as the darkest "pale ale" I’ve ever seen...the color of a heavily tanned Native American. I was expecting a drinkable session beer, but the flavor is complex and layered, a nice blend of roasted nuts, sugars, barley, and a hoppy undertone. Finishes smoothly. I would enjoy having just one of these, or drinking them all night long.

On tap at "brewhouse" in Dulles airport. Really nice floral aromas and slightly toasted malts here, good to smell. Full mouth flavor here with differing levels and a certain amount of complexity. Buttery fruited notes are balanced nicely by a sturdy piney hops presence and a buoyant floral touch. Easy to drink and very quenching. Very good. Went great with a nice spicy chili.

A mate brought this fine American Pale Ale back from a trip to Washington - thanks Gordo. Bronze colour, short tan head. Aroma has classic grapefruity hops, Juicy Fruit chewing gum and toffee characters. Smooth bodied and warming, with a tart, dry finish. Rich, raisiny middle, with some caramel. Very good indeed.
