Bottle from KP dated December 1997. Poured a clear amber other than thousands of flating yeast chunks. Miniml sized off-white head. Sweet and sugary aroma. Some ester fruitiness. Aged malt and even some alcohol. The flavor was sweet and a little tart. Light to medium bodied. BuckNaked (1230) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2005
Draught: Pale golden yellow/amber with a small white head, mostly clear. Aroma is mild banana, pepper, light clove, and yeast. Taste is yeast, with notes of banana, pepper, mango, and a hint of mint. Medium-lively carbonation (though not as much as I would expect from a tripel), light-medium bodied. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special about this one either. meathookjones (245) - Sterling, Virginia, USA - MAY 7, 2005
vHad this on tap at the brewpub. This came out a hazy golden yellow with a slight white head. Small traces of lacing were left around the glass as it was consumed. The nose was spicy, fruity and a bit of sweetness in there as well. Slightly spiciness up front is joined by a fruity sweetness as well as mild earthy hop notes. Aftertaste leaves a bit of spice lingering on the tongue. The mouthfeel is clean and crisp with a body that is a bit lighter than I would have expected. Drinkability was good as I had three of these and wanted more. This is a good example of the style but not my favorite, I will probably go back and pick up a growler before it is gone though. chriso (7540) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2004
Very pale yellow colour. Some citric hop, spicy fruit and a bit of yeast. Bittersweet finish. Like many of the Dominion brews I tried I found this solid, but unexceptional. On tap at the Dominion brewery.

Had this on draft at Dominion on 11/21/04. Golden body. Nose is fruity, spicy and flowery with a light yeast note. Taste is fruity (bananas) with more floral notes and some light spice. More yeast coming through as well. Taste is very much like the aroma. More focused, anyway. Body is medium with no noticeable alcohol. Wonder how much this has in it? Finishes with a bubblegum note, more fruit and yeast. Pretty decent beer.

On tap at the pub. Spicy aroma, faint graininess as well. Hazy yellow with a decent white head. Decent pale malt character, grainy, plenty of clove and pepper, a little earthy yeast. Medium body, a little alcohol kick. I like my Belgians fruity, and this isn’t. Similar character as the Belgian Brown, fermentation is probably too cool, giving it the strong spicy character and complete lack of fruitiness/esters. I love Dominion, but their Belgian styles are lacking. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - NOV 26, 2004
Light golden yellow with a white head. Strawy malt and lightly sweet. Not overly sweet at all. The flavor is much like the aroma, also to overly sweet. Much more yeasty in flavor than aroma. Medium body. Dry finish. Very drinkable. Not a classic tripel but still quite nice and drinkable. egajdzis (6612) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2004
Pale golden color with a thin and small white head and no lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and spicy alcohol. Taste of sweet banana and other tart citrus, sweet and spicy alcohol finish. A nice tripel, if you do not look at it.
