Alengrin (4814) - BELGIUM - AUG 13, 2014
John Martin product apparently still brewed at Koningshoeven and bottled on 75 cl. Off-white, loose, not very stable head, colour orange blonde, almost amber, misty. Aroma of peach, orange peel, pineapple, vanilla, flowery hops, ginger and cooked cabbage (DMS). Soft sweetish taste, hints of orange and raisins, medium carbonation, smooth and supple, caramel malts, bit of coriander, lightly hopped finish but not enough bitterness to balance the initial sweetness. A more or less correct tripel but too clean and clich for my taste.

sayravai (4707) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2011
(Bottled) Very hazy orange-amber with a smallish, firm head. Aroma of fusely alcohol mixed with orange-peel, peary fruitiness, and yeast. Flavor is quite (orange-)fruity with some pear acidity, and alcohol clearly burning in the finish. Medium to full body with soft CO2. Reminds me a bit of the Dubuisson brews. Too fusely-alcoholic to be enjoyable, but at least the fruitiness is at an acceptable level. 5236

Najwieksza zaleta jest ladnie zaprojektowana butelka z lakierowanym klasztornym klimatem. Ale odrzuca mnie fakt zastosowania korka syntetycznego, prawie brak piany i bardzo malo osadu drozdzowego, ba nawet nagazowanie bylo srednie, smak srednio wyrazisty.
