Slightly aged sample Good cream head over quite carbonated foxy-orange beer. Very perfumed nose with rosewater, fruitesters. Sweet, chlidren’s sweets taste, near syrupy. Fruity esters; just not dry in the finish. Very slick, near viscous MF, underattenuated for the "style". Rosewater again in the aftertaste. Clearly the Tripel suffered more under the filtering than the Dubbel - as under the aging.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2011
(Bottled) Very hazy orange-amber with a smallish, firm head. Aroma of fusely alcohol mixed with orange-peel, peary fruitiness, and yeast. Flavor is quite (orange-)fruity with some pear acidity, and alcohol clearly burning in the finish. Medium to full body with soft CO2. Reminds me a bit of the Dubuisson brews. Too fusely-alcoholic to be enjoyable, but at least the fruitiness is at an acceptable level. 5236

Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet.be, bbd sep. 2011. Clear deep golden, medium white head. Bready malt aroma with almond paste and some earthy cellar notes, slightly alcoholic. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Dry with medium bitterness. Has aged well, surely I would have preferred a fresher bottle.
