coppery dark, creamy beige and lasting foam. In the nose a spicy, sweet, with notes of cinnamon, almond and saffron flavor is appreciated. The mouth is bitter enters, with great presence of almond, cinnamon and minor nuances and orange. Complex, medium body and medium carbonation pulling baba. Final medium bitter and sweet.

16/V/16 - sample @ Leuven Innovation - BB: n/a (2016-598) Thanks to the Belgian RB crew for sharing today’s beers!

Clear deep red to orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: weirdest smell, very spicy, bay leaf, sweet and sugar. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, sweet vanilla notes, caramel, bit sugary even. Aftertaste: spicy, sourish touch, weird stuff, don’t like it.

10cl sample from bottle at the Leuven Innovation Beer Festival II 2016 (16 V 2016). A herbs and spiced Toletum aged beer, brewed with local ingredients famous in Toledo city, as well as marzipan and saffron. Pretty heavly alcohol beer, with 8.2% ABV and 40 IBU. Red orange, coppery coloured ale with a white and beige collar (35 EBC in colour). There is lots of smoked in the flavours. Very tastful, with lots of cinnamon (lots of it!), peppers, medium sweet. Great.

Bottle @ LIBF’16. Shared with the RB Belgian team.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2016 At LIBF, from a luxurious 75 cl bottle. Thin, off-white head, light hazy copper colour. Strange aroma strongly reminiscent of salted tomato juice and sundried tomato, raw celery, some saffron and lemon zest indeed but not too much of the cinnamon that went in here too, almond far away as well. Restrained fruitiness in the mouth, soft carbo, vaguely sweetish and sourish with something subtly umami-like, nutty malt body, salted tomato flavor again (also retronasally) with soft spicy notes providing some structure in the finish. Weird concoction, not my cup of tea.

Tasting pour at Leuven Innovation Beerfestival. Thanks for sharing! Lots of spices, sea salt, weard, but fair enough.

Towering, fluffy yellow head, due to artificial lighting, arbitrary appearance rating. Spices - especially bitter cinnamon, bit of saffron, sweet, orangezeste. Saffron, cinnamonbark, caramel, orangezeste, dry fruitcake with succade and almonds. Medium to well-bodied, quite slick. Long-lasting flavours. Obviously sweet, but not too much.

33cl bottle from cervejaportuguesa.com. Copper red color. Very thin head. Body is thin and light oily. Taste is light sweet. Aroma is citric, nutty, biscuit, light malt.

Sabrosa e interesante.
