tmoreau (4805) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 18, 2017
On tap at Sister Bay Bowl during Fall Fest time, served to plastic displaying a hazed, orangey gold/nearly amber hue, with a decent layer of off white/cream colored froth, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was subtle at first, then, with a bit of warming showed light toast, candy-like sweetness, slight banana, pit fruit, a bit of tropical scent, with some spice & phenols. The taste was somewhat similar, medium bodied, with lively carbonation that helped convey an earthy, ripe & rind-like bitterness, with a touch of dryness on the tongue. An interesting amber farmhouse that was probably not fully understood or appreciated by the "bowl & football" crowd.

Bottle. Pours hazy brown with thick and rocky beige head. Nose has notes of wheat, yeast esters that are banana-like. Flavor is rich dark wheat with just a hint of bitter hops. A (pretty good) weizenbock, apparently.

Bottle. Hazy deep copper / amber pour with a dense thick light cream head. Aroma is dusty earth and herbs. Medium palate with some bright carbonation. Taste has a tinge of grassiness and dark berry. Not digging this.

JPDIPSO (6317) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 28, 2015
Copper color with a stable beige colored head. Toasted malt, circus peanuts, and mild herbal notes in the aroma. Wheat and pale malt flavors mingle with more herbal notes. A mild dunkleweiss.

Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 14, 2015
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Ridgeview Liquors in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy copper brown color brew with a thick and rocky off-white head that really sticks around. Aroma of farmhouse like yeast, a hint of hard pitted fruits, multi-grain malt and a hint of bubblegum. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of spiced herbs, farmhouse yeast, a touch of floral hops and spiced potpourri. Finish continues the semi-dry and spicy yeast aftertaste that slowly disappears. More of a dry saison than a bière de grade.

on tap Pours copper and orange with small head that left before I could taste it. Sweet malts in the nose, small citrus hops. Some more citrus in the flavors, though it is small, a bit of a butter as well. A nice creamy palate, very nice
