From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with a thick ecru head. Milk chocolate and caramel aromas. Moderately bitter, roast flavors. Smooth, slightly burnt finish. Aggiebob (1432) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JUL 22, 2017
Bottle. It poured black with a quicky dissipating beige head. The aroma was malty with notes of smoke and chocolate. The taste was sweet as well. It was medium bodied and was slight thick on the tongue. Nice porter. StoutBeerReviews (306) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 25, 2017
Pale and dry, mild mustiness and a bit of coffee and dark chocolate. overall seems kinda weak and un-interesting. I do like the musty bits tho. twindadplus2 (747) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Dark walnut color with a thin but firm tan head. Light roasted malt aroma with a bit of chocolate. Flavors of dark chocolate and bitter hops with a malty sweetnes in the background. Medium bodied at best with very light carbonation and a long bitter finish. Not like what I expect from a porter but decent still.

A middling porter. Thin, somewhat watery with a weak chocolate and coffee character. Lots of bite at the end. Drake (14358) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2016
12 ounce bottle, 9/24/16. Dark brown, large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, cherries, cinnamon. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, honey, mild dark fruits. Thinbodied, high carbonation.

Pours a classic reddish brown coffee color, though somewhat translucent, brief fizzy head. Aroma also classic porter profile with coffee and chocolate, in this case, with a noticeable vanilla note. Taste follows the aroma, and is right in the porter profile, coffee, chocolate, vanilla; dry/faintly bitter, roasty finish. Palate...giving it a positive spin, this is one of the lightest porters I’ve had. It has all the characteristics of a porter, it just feels slightly thin. That could be a good thing... you could call it a session porter. Overall, its good, just a bit shy of what I expect of a Porter. That said I like what Door County has been producing. wlajwl (7288) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 7, 2016
Aroma is coffee, chocolate, dark malts and slightly earthy. The flavor is dark malts, dark/brown bread, coffee/chocolate, toffee, mild sweetness and a mix of acidity and slight spiciness in the finish.
