2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not too sweet. Though the aroma was super sweet (peachy), and the body was light and fizzy (almost like a peach soda, or wine cooler). I didn’t cringe when I tasted it like I thought I might. The Japanese have a long and illustrious tradition of brewing extremely sugary fruit-flavored alcohol. This brew fits squarely into that tradition. And it is indeed tasty, though, on the fringe of what I would consider a beer.
Tap at Pogo. Peach candy, syrupy, with a dose of insecticide. Light dull hazy pale straw, no head. Thich peach compote, syrupy and way too sweet. Thin body and quite sticky. Taste rather artificial. Not quite a beer. biirusaikou (2705) - - OCT 14, 2014
Mostly feels and tastes like a juice. Guava and Peach juice, not much of a pils. Maybe fun for dessert but quite unbalanced and overly sweet fruit cocktail. KansaiBeerLvrs (5158) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 30, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2014 Bottle at a souvenir shop in Okayama. It pours like a wheat beer, cloudy gold more than a pils. The peach aroma is fairly pronounced and the flavor is nice since I like fruit beers but after awhile the peach got to be a bit much. Maybe it is made using peach syrup? Nope, I just checked the label, fruit juice. So think of it more like a cocktail of peach juice and a pilsner. The peach juice makes it cloudy, fruity and sweet whereas the pilsner gives you the alcohol. Tasty enough. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 7, 2013
Bottle in Room, Kooraku Hotel, Okayama. Clear golden - white head. Fruity, peachy, sweetness, acid, light malty sweetness, perfumed peach, citrus, light spicy notes, again too sweet..... faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - APR 18, 2012
Botella from a department store in Okayama City. Hazy like pale pinkish colour with a fizzy bubbly white ehad, fairly well lasting. Sweet fruity peach aroma. Good sparkling mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with peach fruitiness indeed, mild bitterness. FRUIT brew indeed.
