Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours a murky brown with fine tan head, settles quickly with no lacing. Aroma is sweet, strong fruitiness, grape, plum, mild alcohol. Flavor is sweet, plum, grape, fruity up front fading into a mild malt finish. Sweet and fruity but not particularly unique or memorable. Soft carbonation, medium body, smooth texture. A decent belgian ale.

conway (2210) - - AUG 25, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with ruby tints and a thick off white head. Aroma is fruity and nutty. Taste is an awesome chocolate and coffee combo but without much depth outside of that. Mouthfeel is pretty average with a strong carb. This one is tasty but a little weird.

NikkTwist (3367) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Draft at Monks. Hazy brown pour. Pretty much just a classic brown ale. Malty grains. Sweet, but not overly so (not like Newcastle). Light nut flavors as well. Not bad for what it is. Unpretentious.

wlajwl (7120) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 6, 2013
Aroma is non-descript malts and low nuttiness and sweetness. The flavor is malts, mild toffee, fruit and a long and increasingly sour/tart finish.

Jerre (3826) - Waregem, BELGIUM - JUL 18, 2013
Taste this @ home end of nov. 2011 from 37,5 cl bottle.
Dark amber to brown color with a beige foamy head.
Aroma yeast, mild sweet, bit roasted malts, touch of berries, and nuts. Medium body.
Taste light roasted malts, sweet-bitter, notes of raisins and chocolate; caramel.

Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Beer opens with a huge explosion. Hazy brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of toffee, yeast and pepper. Flavor is dark fruit, toffee and yeast. High carbonation and medium mouthfeel.

marcus (10740) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Bottle from City Beer. Pours orange brown with a modest tan head and ad treacle and fruity aroma. There is a dark fruit and date flavor with a dry coffee finish. A bit too thin.

bhensonb (15841) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Bottle shared by Marcus as Hof Ten Dormaal Dark. Pours darkly orange brown wit a creamy beige head. Aroma is dark fruit - like dates. Med minus body. Flavor is coffee, dark fruit. Finishes that way and dry.

thewolf (12850) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 25, 2013
Bottle, bought @ Beer Planet, Brussels. Big pop. Muddy brown with a large, frothy, yellowish head. Aroma has mild chocolate, raisins, plums. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has raisins, plums, soft astringency with some liqourice. Quite nice chocolate finish with some warming alcohol.
