Nice yellow with good foam top. Lots of carbonation, almost got the cork in my eye... Calms down after a while though. The witloof is present, in the nose and the mouth. Tastes more of caramelised witloof though. Earth and leaves, witloof, yeast, candi sugar. Mostly bitter and sweet, but well balanced. Long finish. Lekker biertje, fris gedronken .
Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - AUG 1, 2014
8/1/2014. 12.7 oz corked and caged bottle. pours a murky amber color with an off-white head. Aromas of grain, malt, hay, yeast and spices. Flavors have spices, yeast and light fruit showing in a nice balance. The finish is dry and hoppy. minutemat (5942) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2014
Keg @ The Black Heart, Camden. Pours hazy yellow, beautiful vanilla aroma. Juicy tropical fruit, spice, yeast and vanilla farmhouse flavours.. very thirstquenching for the ABV, or perhaps it was just a long hot day!

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 11/2015. Pours slight hazy deep reddish orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, herbal, straw, grass, wheat, honey, bread, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, clove, pepper, wheat, honey, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, clove, pepper, herbal, straw, grass, wheat, honey, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt sweetness; with a nice malt/yeast ester balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Belgian strong pale ale. Good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. Nothing really stood out to make it great for me, but it is a nicely enjoyable offering. Theydon_Bois (20462) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2014
Keg at the Earl of Essex, 24/06/14.
Very lightly hazed golden with a well appointed off white cap that retains.
Nose is chicory, mellow dark fruit, vanilla custard, gooseberries, light spice.
Taste comprises creme brulee, white grapes, light spice, chicory tips, straw, vanilla essence.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, very light trace of booze in the close but drinking sub 8% for me.
Ok Belgian strong. KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 30, 2014
Bottle sample at the brewery. Hazy gold. Half of the hops replaced by locally grown chicory roots. Adds some extra vegetal bitterness and spicyness. evergreen0199 (3460) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2014
