Keg at Earl of Essex, Islington, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Sweet, yeasty, spice aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, yeasty, spice, chicory.

mcberko (19869) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 11, 2014
On tap at Moeder Lambic St Gilles, pours a cloudy orange with a large beige head. Aroma brings out coriander, white, and citrus. Flavour brigs out lots of citrus, followed by coriander. Not as light as typical wits, with a rather chunky, yeasty palate. Decent.

Bitter bier. Omdat je weet dat er witloofwortel in zit, proef je ook witloof... Aroma is gistachtig, gekonfijt fruit, peper, licht karamel. Iets zoetige dus dat het bittere balanceert. Beetje wrang van smaak, maar toch fascinerend en lekker.

Geruch nach Kohl, Geschmack aber nicht. Erfrischende CO2. Samtige Textur auf Zunge. Interessante zweite Bittere im Abgang. Ein ganz bisschen Rauch ist auch dabei.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden/amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, some spiciness, yeast. Sweet taste, malts, yeast, quite bitter finish. Unusual taste, but nice.

CharlyBeer (150) - Bruxelles, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2014
Odore non molto invasivo, ma gusto splendido. Tipica birra belga. Favolosa. Intéressante farla riposare un po in cantina.

Bottle 37,5 purchased in Leuven. Pours light amber with a one finger clear ivory foam which quickly goes away leaving a lace. Nose of banana, yeast and malty notes. Something weird in the carbonation; it tastes a bit anonymous: Belgian yeast, wit feel but everything in a very low perception. Bitter finish and some sourness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
