Rusty gold. Reminds me of a northern bitter almost. But not in a cool Boddington’s revival way - more like a 90s Boddingtons or a Sam Smith OBB....lots of dog...Served very frothy at Spoons.

Cask. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Averge moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Cask at London & County, Eastboune, bronze colour but has had a certain porter character: chocolate etc. a Guinness like foam.

BlackHaddock (7696) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2017
Cask pint in the Ryde (IoW) Wetherspoons on 13th March 2017. Deep golden/amber body, white head. Malty brew from start to finish, caramel and other malty molasses type aromas and flavours (toffee mostly alongside the caramel): yet not too sweet, the hops doing a fairly good balancing act to keep everything calm and happy. Liked it.

Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear deep amber colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, some red berries and slight spicy, earthy hops. Taste of red berries, dried fruits, some caramel, a little orange and slight spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and an oily texture. A bittersweet, fruity, slight spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Lots of dried fruit and berries but sweet and sickly, not to mention quite thin and oily for 5%. It’s ok but not a fan myself.

Fra håndpumpe på The Mossy Well, Muswell Hill (London): klar rødlig kobber med kort skum. Maltdrevet aroma og smak med forsiktig bitterhet - litt gress og urter. Balansert men uinteressant.

Cask at the caley picture house. Pours deep golden amber, nose is floral, toffee, biscuity, taste is similar, little sour.

Sweet toffee popcorn aroma. Foamy brown head but quickly dissipating. Clear dark golden brown colour. Mild flavour but with some bitter aftertaste.

Cask at Swan Inn, Farnborough. 07/08/16. Not a very strong aroma, sweet, sugary. Deep amber. Really nice thick white head. Smooth mouthfeel. A medium bitterness then kicks in and flows through to the aftertaste. Grapefruit and caramel. A good pint.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Clear amber beer, good white head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Good fine carbonation. Semi sweet malts, thin, some caramel, mildly tangy. Little dried fruits. Dry finish. A light sweetish creamy linger. Okay.
