Cask, as Cocky, 4.3 % abv, half-pint, shared with Finn attending Beeriodical at Seven Stars. Pale amber coloured body, filmy layer, dotted spots. Mild mid-sweet fruity nose. Hop fruity flavors, citrus and pine. Smooth, dry fruity bitterness to the ending. Easy going. (Bristol 01.05.2017).

500ml bottle (gift) - Clear golden body, solid white head. Nose is toffee, caramel, butterscotch, a little citrus. Taste is slightly bitter, robust fruitiness, little metallic tang at the end. Decent.

bottled; spicy hop nose . bright golden ,kinda headless . notes of grassy hops , citrusy spicy grass hops .honey . light caramel. Pretty strange cross between a golden ale and bitter but not too drinkable or refreshing .

Gravity cask at Bree Louise. Slightly hazy light orange, still, small bubbly white head. Body is light, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is vinegar, dry, bretty lemon. Weird.

500ml bottle as Cocky @ the 7th Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Aug 14, thanks to Blackhaddock. Pours a slightly hazy amber with thin bubbly head. Strange off-putting aroma. Taste is stale water and wet cardboard from the off, definitely something not quite right here. Sinkpour.

Now just called Cocky, they have dropped the Hop part of the name (and not used many in the brew?), 500ml bottle: BBD End of Oct 14. Shared at the Shrewsbury August beer share afternoon on Sunday 10th. Biggest disappointment of the day. Lacked oomph and depth. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin white head. Perfumed hop aroma and taste, but overall it was poor from start to finish. It was up against some heavy hitters, so maybe it was subtle rather than weak in flavours and taste.

Bright clear gold beer with a bubbly white head. Palate is mildly crisp and semi dry. Light clean pale malt, dry. Touch of malt cream. Light floral flavours and a whisper of orange citrus. Finishes semi dry. Clean tasting but not so much cocky hop as absent hop!
