A mid amber coloured beer with a frothy white head. A strong nose, hoppy, fruity, a touch appley but nothing derogatory, in fact, adds to the lemony hop aromas, all backed up by a cereal, biscuity malt aroma. Dry mouthfeel. A bitter hop taste to start, with citrus and forest fruits. This is followed up by a dry, cereal, malt flavour with a hint of sweetness in the background. The finish is bitter.

50cl bottle from The Naked Grape, Alresford.A headless, murky chestnut pour, looking rather liveless; aroma of chocolate malts; the taste is mainly of tart apples, then a sweet, grainy, body develops with a touch of milk chocolate; but the tart fruit dominates and carries through to the end. Not a very pleasant pint - drunk well inside it’s Best Before date (07/13), but seemingly way past its best. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2011
