foles (45) - - MAR 11, 2013
Got a very fresh example, BB 20.05.14. Coarse pilsner nose, with spicy hops in the background. Crisp pils malt again on the palate, with spicy/grassy German hops in absolute perfect balance. Very good beer and style.

Steffan (113) - WALES - OCT 17, 2017
Sweet fizzy but strong taste balanced out by hoppy bitterness. A refreshing heavish lager. Unfortunately ABInbev have got their disgusting hands on the brand and have turned a once fine beer into a ubiquitous Euro Pale lager of nondescript nature and is now down to 5.1%. Not worth buying any more, and think I have ancient glassware with DU on it!

2.6
Zlotta (3823) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JUL 16, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’, best before March 2018. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, a bit grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Sweetish, slightly grassy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and minimally metallic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

2.7
Cristobal37 (1235) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 14, 2017
Another MJ500 Flasche from Koln. Mega pale with foamy head. Wet malts, cardboard, soapy, fragrant hop. Plain soft malts. Corn flakes cereal comes to mind. Not a bad example of the style but I preffered Ayinger’s Jahrhundert.

2.3
kapusil (1506) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 14, 2017
0.5l bottle. Pale yellow body with a white head. Bread and hay dominates its character with notes of grains, floral hops and a bit of cardboard. Plain beer, but drinkable.

3.2
