Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Much better than their lager. However, like their lager, the aromas and flavors are pretty faint. Fairly watery as well.

Mexico is known for its corn products...but I didn't know Dos Equis was one of them ! And the sweet flavour makes this beer pretty sickening, actually. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend...but maybe I would to somebody I don't like very much.

Great beer with Spicy foods, but this beer needs to with foods otherwise just above average flavor.

This is a beer with modest malt and hop aromas and taste. Better than the normal XX, but that isn't saying a whole lot. OTOH in a Mexican resturant there aren't usually many better choices than this beer.

I like the cider taste of this beer and the body is nice. Its a good beer for drinking with a female partner. Never fails to get them in the mood, just watch that you do not consume too much are you wont be able to perform

A better beer than their lager. Having said that, it's not that good. Head disappears revealing a mildly carbonated, red beer with a mildly malty aroma. Thin in the mouth with some malt character. Very little hop character. Metallic finish.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2004 Thin, fizzy, sweet, cidery crap. No head and the only flavour was objectionable.

Uglyradio (790) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - AUG 1, 2003
This amber lager pours a nice clear, ruby red color with a thin, off-white head that completely diminishes. It has a very faint aroma of malty sweetness. It has a light body with medium carboantion and a smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is slightly malty up front. The finish is crisp with just a hint of malts. Not bad, just medoicre.

Amber-brown color and a thin head. Aroma of roasted malts and something acetic. Malty amber flavor plus some cooked veggies. Fizzy and light body.

Once upon a time I thought I was a beer connoisseur and drank this stuff. How times have changed. Drinkable but not that good.
