Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

(bottle) Pretty average. Well, probably a bit below average. It is much better than typical macro swill that I was expecting so I enjoyed it actually, but it still ain't all that great.

Not sure why you would drink an amber from Mexico. This is close to an Oktoberfest but it is lacking. Ironically, this is the best of the Mexibrews excluding Negra Modelo.

Nice sweet taste, smooth beer that goes down easy and satisfying. Attractive amber color, with not much head. Tastes good and it is much better than Corona for the price.

My junior prom beer. The only dark beer one could easily purchase then. Tastes pretty good now. Nice caramel notes with enough dryness to make it refreshing.

Like a Negra Modelo, but lighter in body, color, and finishes with a bit more hops. Rated from a keg sample. Medium brown with a bad head. Light caramel body, a gentle smack of hops at the end.

This is a good tasting, smooth beer. Light redish tan color. Good to wash down that burrito.

As far as mexican beers go this one is good. Decent taste, medium body, and smooth draw make the beer a good choice.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2004 Pours a pale brownish, light red color. Very little aroma. Maybe some malt. Taste is slightly watery throughout and barely medium bodied. Some weak malt flavor and ends without much of a memorable drink.

Way better on tap than in the bottle. But doesn't compare to negra modelo. Still a good mexican beer but their is better.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2003 I had this on tap and it's very smooth. Nice amber color. good head and a great taste. Add a lime and it's a good Mexican beer.
