Not bad beer. It has a Watered down hoppy taste with a dry finish. Its head was almost non-exsitant after pouring

A good mexican beer (not saying a whole lot.) Bit of a malty/roasty flavor, goes well with Mexican food, probably not worth what it usually costs in the store.

this is great for a mexican beer, but there are much better beers out there. not bad color looks like an amber should, but almost no hop flavor and a weak malt flavor. great for cinco de mayo, but any other time of the year i'll find something else

I was very disappointed with this beer. Tastes very ordinary. I don't think a lime would help much here either. There are much better alternatives at this price level.

White, rocky head. Good amber color. Quite a bit of carbonation, Kind of a musty aroma, stale almost. Crisp mouthfeel. Not a real complex beer.

Nice amber body but no real head. Aroma is sweet smelling almost like red licorice. Taste is really sweet and quite unique. Almost like a candy taste. Finish is still sweet and slightly tangy. Not bad in comparison to other Mex beers that are light, skunky and tasteless.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2003 Mexican beers arent exactly world class. This is probably one of the better ones though. Reddish color with a little funky ting in the taste. Seemed better with salsa and chips I was eating. Decent amber beer but nothing I would seek out either.

Dark in colour, very odd for me to see a mexican beer with a dark colour, and not a disgustingly skunky smell. The taste was good, and even better with a lime wedge. Had on tap at Mex, in Rochester, New York.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2003 I had this at a mexican restaurant on tap. I thought it was pretty good. There was no head at all when it was brought to me, so I can't say how fast it dissapated. The flavor was quite enjoyable and went well with my king size plate of mexican food. Knock of points on the bottled. Dissappointed in that. Seemed a bit watery.

The first time I tried this it was really bitter. The second time wasn't much better. I usually like dark beers but this is the exception to the rule.
