COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Looks better than it tastes. Watered down version of a real amber. That's the only real comment I've got. Just rambling to meet the minimum comment length requirement.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2004 Had it on tap. Best thing about it is the nice amber color. Mild flavor of hops, but not much taste at all. Seemed very thin. A lime might have made it better.

Could be a lot worse. Could be Corona. One of the better Mexicans I've tried, but then I haven't tried many. Still didn't care for it much.

Copper color. OK head. Mild malt flavor. An ok beer for Tex-Mex is they don't have Negra Modelo.

OK but there are much better Mexican beers. Light copper coloring with a light aroma. At least they didn't push a lime with this one.

Never really liked this one, and there are many better mexicans out there, including the original XX.

Not great, but much better than a Corona. Clear copper color with an ok head. Light malty aroma that equalled the flavor. Kind of watery.

I used to really like this beer. Along the same lines as something like Negra Modelo but not as good. Light coppery color. It's watery and the malts are only trace amounts. Nothing special. Decent brew. Better than most.

just a little bit better than the lager,a little darker with more body, just not much more, skeletal brew for a nice of bad mexican food!

Not a bad beer, but far from a favorite. Nice head, nice color, nice aroma. Flavor is ok. Like the green better.
