COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Not great, but much better than a Corona. Clear copper color with an ok head. Light malty aroma that equalled the flavor. Kind of watery.

I used to really like this beer. Along the same lines as something like Negra Modelo but not as good. Light coppery color. It's watery and the malts are only trace amounts. Nothing special. Decent brew. Better than most.

just a little bit better than the lager,a little darker with more body, just not much more, skeletal brew for a nice of bad mexican food!

Not a bad beer, but far from a favorite. Nice head, nice color, nice aroma. Flavor is ok. Like the green better.

nice drinkable Vienna. Nothing spectacular but makes for a good session beer.

Poured a clear amber with a thin white head. Toasty malt aroma. Sweet malty flavor with some toastiness. Light, dry mouthfeel. A bit more vienna malt would make this better.

A little spicier than XX Special Lager as it is brewed in the Vienna style. Certainly drinkable but I'll stick with Negra Modelo in the future when after a Mexican Vienna style amber.

The only reason I drink this is when I am on thos rare occasion when I find myself at a mexican resaurant and it is better than Corona.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2003 The only reason to drink this is if the only other beer available is something truly god-awful like Corona. On tap, it had a very nice thick head initially that faded all too fast. Thin and slightly metallic.

A very good beer when its ether a beer or cold water. Not enough malt but what little there is is good. Hops are only a rumor.
