Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Im surprised at the somewhat low ratings of this beer, I really enjoy it, especially the taste. To each his own I guess....

not that good but drinkable, negra modelo is way better.

Superb. This beer is the greatest when served in a jumbo 24 ounce glass, just above the freezing temperature, so that little ice crystals float on the top, and with a lime wedge. Truely a divine drinking experience.

Pretty good beer. Goes good with burritos. 2nd only to Negra Modelo in the Mexican beer department.

Definitely better than the green bottle Dos Equis. I’d still rather have a Negra Modelo.

This is a very good beer. Extremely refreshing and a much better choice than other mass produced beers.

Much better than Dos Equis main brew. It is a great "dinner" beer that is good for an amber but not excellent.

Amber colour, malty aroma, thin, bad bitter aftertaste.

mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 16, 2002
dark amber colour, beige head. malty, caramel-ish aroma. fruity, toffee-ish malt seems subdued. this could be a really good beer if the flavour came out a bit more. aftertaste would also be quite nice if lasted a little longer. overall not too bad for a mexican beer.

Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - OCT 14, 2002
It has that vienna style sweetness. I would like to see more character but compared to many mexican brews this one is slightly drinkable.
