Deep amber, thin head, little lace. Aroma of very sweet malt and minerals. Light to medium bodied, some caramel sweetness, a bit watery with a smidge of hop btterness in finish. An ok beer. fraternie (1011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2002
Better than Corona, but nothing to get excited about..................... gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2002
The look of the beer was impressive. It had a deep amber color and a rich flavor. The taste of the ethanol was a little overpowering at first but then flowed back into the taste of the beer shortly after. amx1970390 (480) - Southampton, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2002

This was the best thing offered at 'Lone Star Steakhouse' last night. It had a good amber appearance, and a so-so aroma. It was thin, but with a reasonable mouthfeel. Hops were slightly noted. It would serve as a reasonable casual beer, but I wouldn't seek it out.

Better than Corona but not as good as Casta. A thin amber with moderate head. Has a slight metallic taste. uhorpheus (215) - houston, Texas, USA - NOV 8, 2002
Not bad. Nice head, but quickly dissipates. ?Better than Corona, but not really anything special. avrv99 (17) - USA - NOV 8, 2002
Im surprised at the somewhat low ratings of this beer, I really enjoy it, especially the taste. To each his own I guess.... ENTROPY (141) - Terra Bella, California, USA - NOV 6, 2002
not that good but drinkable, negra modelo is way better..................... hauntedwolf99 (4) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 3, 2002 does not count
Superb. This beer is the greatest when served in a jumbo 24 ounce glass, just above the freezing temperature, so that little ice crystals float on the top, and with a lime wedge. Truely a divine drinking experience.
