Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Overall, I like this beer and think it is a good value for the money ($4.99 at the local liquor store for a 6 pack). It does tend to give me an upset stomach after more than a couple though. I am definitely not ashamed to drink this beer.

Brewed in the Vienna syle this is far superior to the average Mexican beer.A pleasant refreshing taste with a delicate caramel aftertaste. A well balanced drink with a pleasant mahogany appearance.Recommended.

I didn’t really enjoy this at all. Boring. The taste isn’t very good and the aroma is awful. Not for me.

A lovely color and a light finish. A good bet at any Mexican restaurant if they don’t carry Negra Modelo.

A Vienna style lager more than American Standard. Drank at a texmex joint out of an x-tra large frozen margarita glass. Asi muchisimo tarde!

The only time i drink this beer is in a Mexican restaurant. Good beer nothing out of this world.

npdempse (934) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2002
Decent, middle of the road beer, a bit better than the average American standard as it has a good, slightly roasted maltiness to it.

Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 27, 2002
It’s pretty decent on draft, not as much so in the bottle.

boto (2211) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - AUG 26, 2002
Not bad, but a little thin on body and taste.

OldJack99 (114) - USA - AUG 26, 2002
smooth brew, may like it a little better with a little less "caramel" taste and more "hoppy" taste. A good malty gettin’ drunk beer. A little overpriced for what it is, but enjoyable.
