UPDATED: JUN 8, 2005 Rerate Bland, boring, about the only thing going for it is a bit of a caramelly twang to it. Only thing on tap beside Bud at OTB - so I figure it is worth a re-rate! Not much flavor, aroma or mouthfeel to slow you down. Original 2.6 I usually order this at Mexican Restaurants because I like the way the name rolls off my tongue. Somwhat of a sweet sickly aftertaste and a very thin appearance. akinm (282) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 28, 2002
definitely an average beer. it does have flavor andd aroma but for my own sake i will not dwell on them because i would rather move on from that experience. DrunkAsASkunk (847) - Lynnwood, Washington, USA - JUL 25, 2002
A very average beer. It has a moderate aroma and decent appearance, but its aftertaste leaves something to be desired. There are many worse so this isnt a bad alternative while in Tijuana, but otherwise i’d opt for something else. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 25, 2002
i thought it was swill, a few of the guys like it... still not impressed with mexican beer. nstal (237) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2002
One of the better things to come from south of the border. Not quite full bodied like they claim. It does have a good amount of malts with a nice touch of hops.

Has a sour note to it that I didn’t appreciate. Other than that, it was quite drinkable. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - JUL 22, 2002
Sweet corn nose and a pleasant carmel color. No head. Weak sweet malt taste and slightly grassy finish. Edgy palette. Odd mix of tastes that aren’t really balanced. GrainBeltGuzzler (249) - Goodhue, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2002
Good cerveza. Very evident tang of hops. With much more of a sweet malty overtone than the other crap that comes from south of the border. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 21, 2002
Corny, sweet amber beer with hints of malt but very watery. Boring but better than most of the mexican beers I had so far. Wakie (612) - Centreville, Virginia, USA - JUL 19, 2002
A standard Mexican beer. Darker than Corona but doesn’t really taste any different.
