Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

I give this beer the unique honor of best Mexican beer. I like it a little better than negra modelo. It's like that old undershirt with the holes in it that you throw away and replace with a new one.

Ok Flavor and aroma. Nice Dark Amber color..................................

The way to enjoy this beer to its fullest extent is to rim the glass with lime, rather than drinking it plain or by squeezing the lime into the beer. The resulting flavor compliments the palate much more and leaves a much more suitable aftertaste that goes quite well with Mexican food. If you're too drunk to rate a beer in its natural form (i.e. you somehow fathom this beer tastes like Corona), perhaps you should give it another try.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2005 Rerate Bland, boring, about the only thing going for it is a bit of a caramelly twang to it. Only thing on tap beside Bud at OTB - so I figure it is worth a re-rate! Not much flavor, aroma or mouthfeel to slow you down. Original 2.6 I usually order this at Mexican Restaurants because I like the way the name rolls off my tongue. Somwhat of a sweet sickly aftertaste and a very thin appearance.

definitely an average beer. it does have flavor andd aroma but for my own sake i will not dwell on them because i would rather move on from that experience.

A very average beer. It has a moderate aroma and decent appearance, but its aftertaste leaves something to be desired. There are many worse so this isnt a bad alternative while in Tijuana, but otherwise i'd opt for something else.

One of the better things to come from south of the border. Not quite full bodied like they claim. It does have a good amount of malts with a nice touch of hops.

Has a sour note to it that I didn't appreciate. Other than that, it was quite drinkable.

Sweet corn nose and a pleasant carmel color. No head. Weak sweet malt taste and slightly grassy finish. Edgy palette. Odd mix of tastes that aren't really balanced.
