COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

On tap at Maria’s Cantina in Woodland, CA. The aroma is lightly metallic with some scant, corny DMS. A waft of sweet caramel is detected. Not much else happening in the nose. Transparent amber body with a decent off-white head and good lacing. Starts fruity and a little tart, before light caramel sweetness comes through in the middle. Thin, vegetal, and corny DMS off-flavors are present in the finish.

This is my second favorite amber ale. I always have either this or Michelob Amberbock in the fridge.

C. Pours a clear amber color with white head. Light on flavor, slightly weird after taste.

Bottle. Dark amber with white foam. A lot of caramel in this one. Together with brown malt and bread. A nice ending.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2017 White thick head with a touch of tan in it. The body is amber in color and clear. I get subtle aromas of caramel and earth from it. It’s rather bland with a finish common to Mexican beers. In my memories it’s better but that’s why I shouldn’t write these out of memory.

A ultra clean dark amber color with a small head of light beige colored foam. Light nutty and caramel malt don’t distract from how drinkable this is.

One can only wonder what this beer would be like if it WERE brewed like the "Oktoberfest Viennese style" beer it’s supposed to emulate. Such promise-too bad.

Good beer overall. It has a light feel to it, but is refreshing and finished clean. A good beer to drink ice cold on a summer day.

True to it’s name it pours an amber colored body with an off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, slightly toasty and cardboard. Taste is malty sweet, crisp with light citrus on the aftertaste. Watery to oily texture, soft carbonation

Cumple con lo necesario para estar en mis favoritas, muy balanceada en sabor, cuerpo y color.

On draft at hotel. Only moderately better than the special lager. Malty with hints of caramel, but still tastes watery.
