Taste is surprisingly good. Aftertaste is smooth without any skunkyness is typical Mexican macros. Comes out best with lime and contributes to the medium flavor of the beer.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity smell with caramel. Sweet, malty and fruity taste. Could use a bit more bitterness. A bit artificial.

Draft at Christine’s on Harrison Avenue on December 23, 2016. Medium dark amber color, sweet aroma with some grainy character, creamy texture, sweet flavor with astringent finish. Not great but one of the better mass produced Mexican beers.

SamTheBarrel (780) - Vallentuna, SWEDEN - JAN 14, 2017
Brown bottle poured into a lager glass, Appearance is clear amber with a small foam head. Aroma of caramel and metallic notes. Flavours of caramel and corn flakes. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter. Palate is light bodied, watery texture and average carbonation. Overall poor, tastes like it is brewed with only artificial ingredients and was tried to compensate with a lot of sweetness.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2017 (12oz bottle) AROMA: light lager nose, touch of malt and sweetness, soy sauce. APPEARANCE: decent medium Amber/brown, white head, some lacing followed by minimal residual. TASTE: watery malt, some sweet n sour, bland fruit, grape skins. PALATE: slightly acidic/cleansing, watery texture with fizz. OVERALL: mediocre. Focus seems to be on sweet mash with not much hope coming through. Passable beer with relatively light body and complexity. I think overpriced for what you get.

330ml bottle. Clear amber body with a medium white head. Syrup, corn, sugars. Quite bad frankly, and containing all kinds of nasty unneccesary ingredients.

Hands down my favorite Mexican Beer that I can often find and a very underrated draft overall. Solid amber but easily distinguishable because of the Mexican bite to it which I cannot compare to any American or English amber which I am aware of. Goes great with tequila and unthinkable as this will be to the sophisticates, I think a squeeze of lime goes great in this beer.
