unremarkable Mexican lager. Skunky lager aroma. Pours a pale yellow, almost flat. Not much going for it taste wise. Better than Corona, but unless you're in Mexico, why drink it at all?

This was horrific. Corn and adjcunts aplenty, watery mouthfeel, Typical Mexican yellow as piss lager. Had this watching the footy (Sydney v Brisbane) with Linc, motelpogo and betty. Thanks gos to motelpogo (or was it betty?) for allowing me to try one of Mexicos finest.

I accidentally bought a case of this beer and accidentally drank all of it. On the label it is proclaimed that this beer was first brewed by a German "brewmaster" in Mexico in 1897. It seems obvious this "brewmaster" had a tough time with the Reinheitsbegot. I guess they don't really enforce it in Mexico.

Bottled. Gold, thin but lasting white head, moderate condition. Initial aroma was good with hints of honeyed malt like a Bohemian Pils, but this was merely a ploy to get you to take a good lungful of what suddenly morphed into oily fish (mackerel, I think). Sniffing the bottle revealed the maltiness again, but I KNOW that Ive never eaten fish out of the glass so it must be the beer that smelled that way. In the mouth the fishiness was gone, but with just some residualy sweet maltiness and a thin tinny note was left. Aftertaste was oily and vaguely sweet.

Not too good, not to bad. Don't buy this for home drinking. However with mexican food it's pretty good.

Tasted alongside two Italian lagers - Birra Moretti and Birra Del Vecchio - this had the best of the pale gold colours, a little darker and with more depth and sparkle. The aroma is not pleasant - there's malt there, but also cardboard, and at times it can be a bit shitty. Taste is soft, slightly metallic, and remains on the bad side of pleasant. Finish is a mouthful of chalk dissolved in water. Not good.

Godawful! Light blonde with a pilsneresque aroma and a watery, minimally hop aroma. This isn't so vile as it is pathetically lacking any greater attributes. Even for an Am. Standard--this is weak, insipid stuff.

Its not bad by Mexican standards. Pretty bland, but not offensive. If your bag is yellow beer with limes, drink this rather than the Corona.

beer reminds me a lot of a sauvignon blanc in the flavor...other than that, there is nothing in the aroma. i s'pose it's as good as anything else on a hot summer day..other than that, it's worth nothing.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2004 This is actually a bad beer...not much aroma, almost no taste (except for corn). I had a hard time to get through the bottle (but I did...I like to finish what I started).
