I used to really like this beer at first, until I tried the Amber lager and I realized this was essentially just a watered-down version of the originally dark and full-bodied Dos Equis. Now I can't go back. This is still decent for a pale lager, but not exceptional. Always had a bit of a funky aftertaste.

Pours pale golden with a white head.
Aroma of pale malts, grain, adjuncts and slight hops.
Taste is malty, crisp with some grassy hops in the end.
Watery texture, soft to medium carbonation ZodiacM (1140) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 18, 2017
LCI. Uit blik gedronken. Gewoon pils, niets bijzonders, maar lekker tijdens een Dodger game in Dodger Stadium! JohananaV2 (65) - - JUN 14, 2017
It's an ok beer, not my go to but some fresh lime does wonders to the flavor. I find the amber to be better than the lager but what can I say

11-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought at BeerNavigator - Biernavigatie - Biernavi, the Netherlands).
The looks of the beer aren’t bad, but it is rather simple. Pretty much the same as nearly every pale lager. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The beer is crystal clear. Hardly any bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of rough white foam. The bulk of the foam collapses rather quickly, leaving only a thin drape.
The smell is simple. It isn’t very special. It is very mild. There is a touch of bitter hops and some sweet malts. Nice fruity touch, but quite mild.
The taste is better. There is a nice malty flavour, giving some nice sweet touches. Besides this, there is a nice bitter slightly fruity hop flavour. I like it. Not very special, but not bad.
The palate is fine. Light body, a bit thin texture and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer isn’t that special. Just some malts and hops. It isn’t bad, but simple like expected. kraddel (7839) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2017
Sampled at a blind tasting, with Dr. Beer. Smell is sweet, some spice character, it even reminds me of a kind of liquor like rhum.
Taste is moderate bitter, bit faded malts, mild caramel undertone, decent body. Rather crisp malts, some part of it seems a bit darker/amber. No real yeasty flavor, no real hoppyness.
---Note---- suprised this turned out to be a lager. I was really thrown of by the scent ( I kid you not, it smelled like liquor ! ) and a certain amber maltyness. Ah well, can’t argue with reality !

From bottle. The main problem is there’s not much here. Has a lightly grainy, corny taste that actually finishes quite clean but not crisp at all. Corny aroma, but not very big either. Msdrbeat (777) - East Lansing, USA - JUN 1, 2017
On draft at hotel. One of my least favorite mexican beers. Mostly malt but it tastes watery. Cakes (428) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2017
12 oz can, from the "Beers of Mexico Twelve Pack". Bright yellow appearance . Taste of the grass and spruce hops. Not an exceptional beer. DavyK (132) - East Kilbride, SCOTLAND - MAY 27, 2017
Straight up the middle, but it has a bit more backbone than the other Mexican macro lagers while still taking a wedge of lime in the neck on a sunny day. It is what it is. Jimbo2 (449) - DENMARK - MAY 26, 2017
Standard Lager. Somewhat on the sweet side. Slightly thin body, medium carbonation. Little hops.
