This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. Course theres always the masochists...

On keg at The BrewDog Bar. Pours a deep ruby colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of alcohol, passion fruit, grapefruit, sherry and pine. Flavours of plum pudding, sherry and treacle with alcohol quite present. Mild carbonation and a warming alcohol finish. A little metallic right at the end though.

Bottle from BrewDog bar Aberdeen. It pours deep red-brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is gingerbread, wood, cake, spice and dark fruit. The taste is oak, leather, resin, alcohol warmth, spice, fruit cake and stewed orange citrus fruit, with a decent bitter finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced. I like it.

650 ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange brown with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is quite rich with caramel, citric hops and other fruit. Taste is also quite rich with some alcohol warmth - notes of toffee, fruit and citric hops. Big finish. Big body. Bascially a big beer.

Big bottle, poured a brown color with medium head. Big caramel nose and floral hop. Med heavy bitter. Ave carbonation, slightly oily texture. Huge bitter hop flavors are almost balanced by a decent malt background. For bigtime hop lovers. Bitterness explosion on your tongue.

Pours deep amber with thick white head. Aroma is caramel, dark fruits, booze. Taste is sweet caramel malts and a good balance of bitterness. Only knock on this one is that the alcohol comes through pretty strong. Medium body, creamy texture.

Pours a red brown, with a nice tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, and lots of dark fruit. Full bodied with notes fruit, but dominated by malts. Finishes syrupy with sweet alcohol, and some hops lingering. Well balanced, and very drinkable.

Bottle from a recent trip to New York. Lovely sweet hoppy nose which follows through to the flavour. Malty citrus notes with a smooth bitterness that lingers on the palate. A wonderful ale, almost a liqueur. Great to taste, but don't order a pint! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 rings in @ 11.2%. Pours a deep amber color with a thick foamy head that coats the glass completely. Aromas are big, boozy, bold, earthy caramel... on the palate its right on target with the nose. Boozy deep brooding notes of cedar, butterscotch and pine. This should be my last beer for the night cause bastard just killed it.
