COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

TheDazz (1) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 14, 2011 does not count
Caramel, pine, citrus, grapes, candy corn, toffee-like flavor that comes in with raisins. The alcohol is almost completely masked by the complex flavors. Medium to full body creaminess that engulfed the mouth perfectly. Light Carbonation, just a hint of alcohol warmth going down. It leaves the lips sticky and the mouth feeling dry from the metallic hops. A dangerous easy drinking high abv. beer that should be sipped.

Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 21, 2011
On keg at The BrewDog Bar. Pours a deep ruby colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of alcohol, passion fruit, grapefruit, sherry and pine. Flavours of plum pudding, sherry and treacle with alcohol quite present. Mild carbonation and a warming alcohol finish. A little metallic right at the end though.

Intense. This beer lives up to it’s name and description, very complex aroma and super bitter shock and linger to the taste buds. Extremely dry, bitter and alcohol after taste but surprisingly smooth and easy to drink (especially for the 10+ ABV)

(Bottle, 0.65 l, at Pikkulintu, 20111228) The beer poured deep copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had hops, malts, citricness and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, malts, sweetness, mild roastedness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. Very good hoppy strong ale.

650 ml bottle @ Olutravintola Pannuhuone, Kuopio.
Pours an amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, grass and wood. Flavour of caramel malts, quite heavy hops, grass, wood and some fruits. Full bodied, sticky mouthfeel and a long, warming, sweet and malty finish. Works nicely as a winter warmer.

Scopey (15427) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle from BrewDog bar Aberdeen. It pours deep red-brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is gingerbread, wood, cake, spice and dark fruit. The taste is oak, leather, resin, alcohol warmth, spice, fruit cake and stewed orange citrus fruit, with a decent bitter finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced. I like it.

Spab (4002) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 2, 2012
650 ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange brown with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is quite rich with caramel, citric hops and other fruit. Taste is also quite rich with some alcohol warmth - notes of toffee, fruit and citric hops. Big finish. Big body. Bascially a big beer.

bth122 (1628) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 7, 2012
Big bottle, poured a brown color with medium head. Big caramel nose and floral hop. Med heavy bitter. Ave carbonation, slightly oily texture. Huge bitter hop flavors are almost balanced by a decent malt background. For bigtime hop lovers. Bitterness explosion on your tongue.

SaintMatty (7476) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2012
650ml Bottle - Copper with a foamy head. Pine, raisins, grapefruit and spicy malt in the aroma. Fruity, malty and hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, toffee, nuts, raisins and spicy malt. Rich, but nicely balanced.
