On Nitro tap at Double Mountain Hood River. Pours out a black topped with a tan head. Aroma was of roast malts and a nice coffee presents. Taste was more of the roast, coffee, dark chocolate, that ends with a nice bitter end. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 9, 2015
On tap at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a dense beige head. The aroma has lots of chocolate, smooth roast, and is pretty big and rich for a 4% beer. It has a medium / light body with very soft carbonation. The flavor starts with cocoa, minor char, licorice and woody hops. The finish is woody and roasty. Pretty nice. On Tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise. Black with a full tan head. Not as thick and dense and most nitro. Nice dry sharp roasted aroma and flavors. A touch of grassy spearmint. Finishes with quite a bit of roasted astringency. Dry, light bodied. This is what Guiness should be more like. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 4, 2009
Nitro @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured black with a huge light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and barley with an added coffee presence. Full, foamy palate but also a light weight to it. Roasted coffee and sweet toffee and/or caramel malt notes before the coffee returned to the finish.
