Absolutely quintessential IPA. Hits every note perfectly. Citrus and pine flavor over a malt base that doesn't get in the way. Bitterness is perfect. Just plain good. A-

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2013 Bottle. Hazed gold with a fine white head. Rich orange and peach nectar hops, moderately musty, light cheese rind and herbs. Very much like an EKG hopped bitter or English pale ale in the nose. Strongly bitter body on top of a surprisingly lean pale malt core. Lemon, pepper, white onion, lawn clippings and dried herb flavor. Pasty, yeasty finish, a bit chalky but not to an extent to annoy me. Bright and vibrant and I would guess it’s about 6% rather than over 7%. More dry than sweet, musty and herbal with a rustic English hop quality and a pleasant bitter lemon pith flavor. Very clean and enjoyable for me at a time when IPA and strongly-hopped American ales aren’t really doing it. ACHops (1566) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 26, 2013
On tap @ the brewpub in Hood River. Pours slightly cloudy golden with thin head. Aroma is strong grapefruit hop notes. Taste is thin caramel malt, with juicy fresh hops on the finish. Big flavors of grapefruit, grass, and pine. Dry on the finish. Quite refreshing, and doesn’t seem as big as the 7.3 abv suggests. Tasty. One2remeber (247) - Bucktown, Ohio, USA - JUL 19, 2015
6 srm, non-filtered, Bright dark yellow, orangish hue.
Big skunky, herbal aroma, thought my room mate was smoking 420. Smell of opening a box of fresh new Nike shoes. Reminiscent of a mix between Victory Pils and Great Divide DPA.
Rich honey malt sweetness w/o being cloying. Perfume, floral. IPA? Not sure, but very delicious. More like an American style Pilsner. PhilJackson80 (531) - Oklahoma, USA - AUG 3, 2013
UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 It has a light golden color to it. The aroma is slightly hoppy. The taste is clean with a medium citrus flavor. Overall a good IPA.

Draught at the brewery in Hood River, as "Double Mountain Cluster F*ck." Big piney nose. Hazy blonde color. Starts with a large hop hit / mid has a tongue-scraping effervescence / final has little hop razors. Thin-medium body. A single hop IPA, with Cluster in kettle, hopback, and then dry hopped. This one really works. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 31, 2013
One of the favorite beers from my recent Portland trip. This orange hued beer has a big hop aroma and the taste is really herbal and spicy with a background of citrus. Glad that Artisan Ales in Pasadena will be bringing it to SoCal soon. RealChiSpise (4) - Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2013 does not count
Got a bottle of this to have later on my Oregon trip. Drinking it now out of a wine glass. Nice white head and golden color. Pine and resin on the nose. I like single hop beers, especially as a hop plant retailer. Only slightly bitter and a good, mild hop bite. I’ve been clusterstruck. Pairing nicely with my chicken noodle stew. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose has some nice citrus and resiny hop elements coming off it. Taste is nicely bitter throughout, but a slightly sweet resin element on the back end. Very nicely balanced, I think. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - OCT 23, 2015
500 ml bottle- Pours hazy straw golden with a nice white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, citrus, ale, pine resin, lemon. The taste is very lemony, pine resin, sticky and refreshing. Bubbly mouthfeel, medium body. Interesting IPA, enjoyed it.
