COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Devil’s Kriek employed a Flanders Red Ale base prior to the addition of 200 lbs of Bing Cherries from Matt’s orchard in Duke Valley. The Devil’s Kriek developed a classic Brett character typical of beers in the style and used a mixture of three yeast strains to complete it’s mission to provide complexity.

Tasting at Tokyo Midtown. Light brownish-red pour, not really carbonated. Nose is autumny, lots of barnyard funk, decent level of acidity and light vinegar. Cherry peel bitterness, juice. Taste has more vinegar, light acidic feel to it, dry and tart. Interesting level of ageing in this 2014 version, acidic but mellowed together. Red currants, dry finish. Treat.

Lovely red brown color. Amazing vinegar, wood and cherries in the nose. Very tart nose. The mouth is extraordinarily tart with tons of cherries, oak and vinegar. Lingering sour oaky finish with tons of cherries

2017-05-13. Crisp dark red body, headless. 3+ Aroma of earthy cherry, whispers of wood. Flavour is quite acetic up front with a not quite vinegary sourness, moderate cherry throughout. 7++ Crisp average bodied palate, soft to low carbonation. Nice but of the two i would come back to the Tahoma Kriek more. 7/4/7-8/3/16-17 Bottle shared by wilco.

Thanks to Matt for this brew!

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured cloudy dark ruby color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy yeast and dark fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour fruit flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderate to long duration. This beer surpassed my expectations.

Had three different vintages of this (thanks Beershine), one of which was a travesty of butyric shit. But the other two weren’t bad, so I’ll ignore the bad one. Reddish brown, earthy, spicy cherry, nice mellow spicy cherry sour note. Good brew.

375 ml bottle shared with Tmoney99. Pours a dark reddish copper color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have tart black cherry character, sweet cherry, acidic, mineral notes, some caramel sweetness, mild funk, pretty good, fades just a touch to the finish.
