This year’s Fa continues with bags full of Matt’s favorite hop, Centennials, to warm your heart and soul. It’s like a sweater for your insides! Brewed with Gambrinus Pilsner malt and a dash of crystal malts, this brew has a voluptuous malt bill to harmonize with the wealth of hops. ‘Tis the season to be jolly!

Nice head and gold-orange body even when poured at a freezing 1.9 celcius. Yeast and orange peel on the nose, hints of cardamom. Flavour is a lot of hops with that cardamom spice built in and a crisp finish. Good stuff, tasty, reliable, a few too many of these and you won’t remember your beer ratings the next morning.

Enjoyable. Bit overly sweet with toffee and Caramel and a bit of citrus and pine. Light grassy and fresh floral note. Well balanced and mild resin finish.

On tap at Portland Pizzaria. Nice amber body with medium head. Nose is floral, bready and herbal. Taste is spicy, malts, cinnamon. Creamy texture and sticky. Warming finish.

This be hiding in my fridge for a while. Oranges, sweet cinnamon, toffee, pine, white bread, that’s mainly what the holes detect. Thankfully this is not one of those stupidly spiced up beers. That doesn’t mean some blend of mystical winter spice hasn’t snuck into the fold. This really fucking hopped up. More malty and caramelly than the aroma, still spiced lightly and comes swinging for the fences with a sledgehammer of bitterness. Earthy hop things, licorice, candy sweetness, pine and pain. Putting back a pull from the Budweiser chalice every 10 seconds has ruined my palate in a good way and will leave me and my zero tolerance messed up very shortly. Pretty good yet not worthy of a revisit.

From a 500 ml bottle. A dark brown beer with orange highlights, a moderate beige head and fruity, slightly spicy nose. Flavor is reminiscent of dried fruits. Decent hop bite as well. Quite nice. 3.8.

Draught. Hazy amber, creamy cap, great lacing. Aroma of caramel, soft spice (cinnamon?), and quite earthy. Taste is sweet, soft bitterness, rounded with a bunch of umami. Palate is creamy, medium-low carbonation, long, subtle dry finish.

Smells like root beer with hops in it! Nice crystal clear copper amber color with a billowy white head. Bitingly bitter hops come flying out and latch onto your tongue immediately. This is quickly balanced very nicely by a smooth caramel malt sweetness. There are hints of licorice and baking spices mixed in. Finishes bittersweet with a lasting bitterness left behind. Very nice winter beer.

500ml brown bottle. Colour is cloudy golden, tightly beaded, creamy white cap. Aromas of caramel, herb, fruit, orange. Taste - hoppy, grassy, herbal, touches of caramel. Herbal finish with long grassy bitterness. Body is lighter than expected. Well made, but I didn’t love it.

500ml bottle pours orange in color with a generous off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is earthy with some caramel and hints of cinnamon. Taste is a big earthy and citrus hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Overall, a well crafted winter ale that is well balanced and quite tasty. Recommended.
