COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This year’s Fa continues with bags full of Matt’s favorite hop, Centennials, to warm your heart and soul. It’s like a sweater for your insides! Brewed with Gambrinus Pilsner malt and a dash of crystal malts, this brew has a voluptuous malt bill to harmonize with the wealth of hops. ‘Tis the season to be jolly!

Hazy copper amber pour with two fingers of creamy sandy tan head. Malty aroma with a kiss of spicy and earthy hops. Some crystal malt notes come through with a lightly grassy character. Flavor is kind of muddled, definitely get the citrus rind and woody note from the Centennial. Pretty heavy bitterness on the finish and lasting for sure. Not a big fan. Seems unbalanced (hate using that term) and muddled/confused in the flavor. Doesn’t know whether or not to be some IPA or strong ale and gets trapped in a bitter limbo.

This beer is cloudy and brownish copper. It has a Carmel aroma and smokey rich flavor. The malt comes through strong.

Stubby little bottle. Pours a reddish amber hue with a medium white head. A big malty caramel and fruity hop nose. Comes in nicely with caramel, toffee, pine, bitter hops, lemons, orange peel. Flavorful. Smooth.

On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods Boise Slightly hazy golden light amber. Nice sandy colored head. Fairly light bodied for an American Strong. Mild malty flavors, light toast and plenty of hop bitterness. Clean finish for a 7.5 %er Very nice actually

Poured from the tap. Golden orange with minimal white head. Bread and caramel malt with mild floral and citrus hops. Simple-ish.

Draft - Lots of orange peel and a caramel backbone. Hazy orange with a decent beige head. Orange and bitter peel with a long bitter finish. Sweet, caramel and bitterness, but not really interesting.

Picked up tonight at the COOP for about $5ish... Poured into my Elysian goblet... 2 finger khaki head dies pretty quickly atop a slightly hazed orange brew... big toasty malts punctuated by plenty of pithy citrus hops.. Good bitterness on the finish helps cut through the big toasty/biscuity maltiness... good drinkability.

Bottle (500ml %6): Orange with big whitish head. Seems big on malt and hops. Medium plus body. Little spicy some bitterness in the end. Well balanced.

500ml from Lifesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR $4.99 Pours a burnt darker orange colour with an impressive thick and creamy off white head. Spicy, resinous hop aromas mainly backed up by thick toffee malts. Taste is way more spicy hoppy goodness than the aroma suggested. Crystal malts come a clear second. Very hoppy beer. Nice mouth feel and excellent after taste of spicy/resinous hops, Very nice winter beer but maybe really an IPA..new style Winter IPA!

3.5
