Very nice pale ale, really potent floral citrus hops in the aroma. Grapefruit finish, very crisp, but with enough malts to keep the palate from being burnt out. Pours a nice glowing orange with a soft white head. One of the best pales i’ve had in a while. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Bomber courtesy my son! Pours dark amber with a thin off-white head. Medium body and carbonation. Nutty citrus aroma. Lightly sweet taste with a crisp and bitter finish that lingers a bit. DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JUL 29, 2007
Draft at the Double Mountain taproom on 7/20/07. Medium white head floats for a short time over a yellowish amber pour. Aroma is grain based with some slight stone fruit and some mild hops. Medium body and carbonation with a crisp, clean palate. Flavor demonstrates good balance between pale malt sweetness and a subtle hoppy bitterness. Finish is softly dry. Slighty hazy gold colour. Light aroma is woody, grapefruity. Flavourwise, this is crisp, lemony with light wood and grapefruit. It’s brisk, too, barely balanced by pale malts. The brewer’s description reads like this beer is his baby and it tastes like it as well. SamuraiArtist (292) - portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 4, 2007
Draft at Belmont Station: Pours a beautiful cloudy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of honey and orange blossom. Flavor is lightly malty and sweet and has a nice orange/tangerine flavor and tons of floral hop flavor with a bitter hoppy backbone. I have had IPA’s less hoppy than this. This one is all about the hop flavors more than the bitterness though and it makes it quite delicous and easy to drink. Could put down lots of these in one sitting.
