sergelutaba (67) - Alberta, - NOV 20, 2012
It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is dough, grainy, light toast, tinned pineapple and weak citrus. The taste is citrus pith, lots of lemon, light tangerine, salt, toasted malt, slight astringency and metal, with a bitter finish. Thin-medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A bit weak and boring.

Pours clear orange color with a small head. Aroma is toffee and some hops, faint resin, moderately fruity, a bit stuffy. Flavor is nutty dry, malty, some bitterness and hops, distant honey. Not very pleasant.

Thick, frothy head! Malty, sweet palate with a bitter finish. Not what I was expecting or hoping for, from a microbrewed IPA. As one reviewer has already noted, this is more of an extra pale ale. In that respect, its decent. As an IPA, well it really isnt one, so I guess Im disappointed!

A grassy, spicy and sweet aroma that doesnt promise much. Lemony hops and bready malts compete for the taste. Definitely an EPA; not an IPA

Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, honey and clove.Taste is slight toffee and toasted malts. Some oats and cereal here aswell. A light basic earthy and citrus tartiness on the tip that is fairly well balanced. Appearance is a hazy orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Can from Loblaws. Hazy orange body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tangerine, caramel and grass. Flavour of grapefruit, sweet malts and steel. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Light fizz. A mild, sugary IPA.
