Blond color, clean, with compact head. Dry, lean, with malt flavor, some hay, and some grassy hops; the bitterness is above the average; the aroma is too simple.
Not too bad.
A goldrn pils with a thin white head. In aroma, a grassy malt with light German hops, decent. In mouth, a classic Europils with grassy malt and hops, saaz, and mineral notes. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2014
2014-03-04. Crisp yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma of straw and pale malt. Flavour us lightly bitter, pleasant pale malt has a lightly biscuity quality to it. Floral lightly grassy hops. Graininess to the malt comes out as it warms. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Okay. Can from the LCBO, Toronto. Can, shared at the lake. Medium golden body, average white head. Light caramel, cereal, whiff of hops. Not bad. MartinT (9852) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 28, 2014
My Bottom Line:
JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2013
Coarse cereal sugars and herbal hops quickly move into a very mineral and hop bitter finish for a personable but unpolished lager.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A frothy head of foam covers the hazy honey blond.
-Hop bitterness is too intense for the rest of the flavor profile.
-Malt flavors are rough.
-This drinks like a nice countryside lager, minus the malty depths.
-Even though this is an enjoyable pint, this brew lacks the softness and refinement I love in Pilseners/Kellerbiers.
500 ml can from LCBO. Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is lightly grainy with some moderate hoppiness over the top. A touch of spicy/herbal character, but the hops are very restrained. Decent body and a fairly assertive but clean bitterness. The hops are pretty light - the beer is nice enough but could be so much better. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2014
[6212-20140304] Can. Light grassy yeast notes in the aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Lightly bittered grassy grains flavour. Light-medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/12) 3.1 czar (9004) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 5, 2013
can. pours hazy pale straw with a nice white head, good retention and strong lacing. lightly sweet fruity malts and a bit of corn, some spiciness and bit of herbs and grass, faint citrus, hint of minerals, light pepper yeastiness. not that clean. average carbonation, light body, short but present herbal-citrusy finish with a small bite. enjoyable. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - OCT 25, 2013
This is not really a pleasant beer. Kind of a mess. Finishes kind of acrid. Pours golden without much head or lacing. Not even sure if this is saaz or munich here. There’s better pilseners than this in Toronto. Tap at C’est What.
(Rating #6080)
