330 ml bottle bought at Bien Jamon’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during HKTDC Food Expo 2016.
Clear light golden honey colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Very fragrant aroma of malt, with strong grapefruits, candied fruits, dill pickle, fruit soda, bubblegum, floral, molasses, light bread, lemon and light grass; Close to light sweet taste of fair Pilsener malt, with strong grains, very light grapefruits, floral, light molasses, biscuits, light spices, lemon, fair bitter hops and grass; Mid to light body. Crisp and thin palate; Mouth feel is fairly good Pils maltyness in a slightly watery background. Strong grainyness, with light touches of grapefruit hops. Floral and fair sweetness. Light spice and lemon to round. Simple and easy... Hoppiness is strong grapefruits, candied fruits, dill pickle, fruit soda, bubblegum, floral and lemon in nose. Light grapefruits, floral, light spices, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is fair for a lasting, light to mid astringent bitter sweet finish; Quite dry after taste. Floral malty and light bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one aroma opens up the senses with nice Sorachi Aces’ dill pickle and fruit soda is pretty attractive, but the taste is just a normal light Premium Lager. Fair malty and rather low hoppinness finish, Very drinkable but overall nothing special.
RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at Le Sec. Golden colour. Soft and smooth pilsener, decent enough, but not exciting. BlackHaddock (7574) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2016
9th July 2016: on-tap in Brew Pub Le Sec, Barcelona with the RBESG guys. Clear golden pour, unlasting white head. Tropical fruits in both the aroma and taste, leaning towards a citric flavour and nose: bitter and dry in the finish. One of the best Pilsners I had during our four days of drinking in Barcelona. Bottle from del mon. Clear yellow small white head.aroma is flowery with a sour dough note to it.flavor is malty with citrussy and flowery hoppy notes. If i should describe this , I would say oddly hopped lager. There is a faint citrussy note under the main flavor. I fear it is the beginning of an infection. More lucky batches might taste better. Pours pale golden, a little hazy, with green tones. Head is off-white, huge but not long-lasting. Aroma is low but nice: herbs, citrus, a little butter. Fresh, light, good low carb. Slightly bitter finish, not long at all.
